The refresher program should be booked in advance and takes place on your first day from the shore. Mr. Diver Red Sea reserve the right to restrict diving activities if the instructor has any concerns regarding diver safety.

A reactivate or refresher program can be completed prior to arrival and Mr. Diver Red Sea will ask of proof of this signed by your instructor who performed the program. All boat days will be charged at a full day package.

Dive packages must be used during a single vacation and may not be divided or applied across multiple stays.

Dive packages are non-transferable and may not be shared between guests or applied to other activities.

In the event a dive package is reduced, all dives already used will be recalculated and charged according to the lower-value package actually utilized, rather than the originally booked higher-value package.

FAQs

  • Is insurance needed?
    - We recommend that all travellers take out insurance to cover cancellation, lost or stolen luggage and medical/hospital costs.
Divers can get insured by Aquamed, DAN or a similar organisation.
  • Are there rules and regulations for diving in Egypt?
    - The CDWS (Chamber of diving and water sports) is implementing the World Recreational Scuba Training Council (WRSTC) standards for recreational diving.
The maximum depth for diving with compressed air is 40 meters, if the training qualifications and the experience of the divers allow it.
The CDWS recommends not wearing gloves, if not needed as thermal protection.
Carrying of dive knives as a tool, to cut lines and to free entanglements is allowed.
And CDWS strongly forbids scuba divers and photographers to use the Muck Stick, Pointer Stick or Lobster Tickle Stick (is usually made of solid stainless steel or aluminium and is 12 to 18 inches long) in an attempt to promote an eco-friendly marine environment in the Red Sea. The penalty list for environmental violations will apply.
