What You Will Learn
The course is a “reality check” that prepares you for real-world scenarios through a mix of theory and hands-on practice:
- Self-Rescue & Stress Management: Learn how to stay calm and solve your own equipment or physical problems.
- Recognizing Stress: Spot the early warning signs of stress in other divers to prevent incidents before they start.
- Accident Management: Lead a search for a missing diver and coordinate emergency responses.
- Rescue Techniques: Practice surfacing an unconscious diver, providing in-water artificial respiration, and handling panicked divers.
Course Structure
Typically completed over 3 to 4 days, the training includes:
- Academic Training: 6 Digital learning modules and a final exam (min. 80-88% score required).
- Confined Water Sessions: In 3 sessions you practice rescue skills in a controlled pool environment.
- Open Water Scenarios: In 3 open water sessions you apply your skills in realistic, deep-water rescue drills from a boat or shore.
- Maximum Training Depth: 18 m / 60 ft
- What is included: Digital material, certification, instructor, classroom and complimentary transportation from and to your hotel in sharm el sheikh.
- What is not included: Diving equipment which can be rented from us for special rate of $24.00 per day.
Prerequisites
- Minimum Age: 12 years old.
- Certification: Open Water Diver (or equivalent).
- Medical: Valid First Aid & CPR certification (like SSI React Right) completed within the last 24 months.
